What a weekend, David & Mandy came down from Harrogate to bask in the Dora Road sun and give the gin cupboard a good battering..
Started with a recreation of a good night we had with them in Manchester, in a Mexican restaurant – decided to turn Dora into Little Tijuana for the night. Mix up the margaritas, beat five avocados into guacamole submission, slap out some fajitas, pop up the Mex bunting, and Jose is your uncle. And not forgetting the very classy sombreros and ‘taches of course..
Whipped off up to Maltby Street market on Sat for a cheeky gin at Little Bird with scotch egg and cheesy sandwich sides, H slipped in a celebratory pint of chewy west country cider at his alma mater Hawkes Cidery and then we ambled along the South Bank back to Waterloo.
And finally took the hounds off to Virginia Water today for a much needed dog swim, and a pub lunch for us.
Macey loved her dip and has almost got over the fact we have a cat – clearly no-one has told her she is meant to chase and scare Mojo, and not the other way round….
add in some sun lounger lazing, H dropping eggs and knocking over glasses, a BbQ breakfast fry up, the newspapers, quite a bit of chocolate and a few clinking bottles and I’m pretty sure a good weekend was had by all x
