For those of you who know Scrumpy has been very lame for several weeks now, we finally had a call from the Supervet place today with her MRI results.
Seems good news so far – they are thinking it is probably a nasty infection, for which she will take antibiotics for the next 3 weeks. It should start to clear up after 2 weeks, so we are very much hoping to see some improvement – her back right leg has not hit the floor since before Xmas. She can however still run at pace as a spaniel tripod, and still loves a big stick to demolish.
Much better than the dreaded 'yes a third member of your house now has the Big C' which we were dreading as a possible outcome. So here's hoping that it is indeed an infection and does clear up – if not, it will be a biopsy next.
So – fingers crossed for her too – but at least better news than it might have been, and no need to book in the hip replacement for her quite yet. Phew x
