Here we are, 1 week to go to the official Big Day and the celebrations have – of course – already started. Greta night out with my lovely AV5 gang, up in Borough area this time. Started at a fab cocktail bar where I demolished three of the liquid treasures on offer, in a very short space of time, including one with condensed milk in it – somehow still delicious.
And then on to a Thai restaurant – always a winner - just off the market, called Kolae. Everyone loved the food – weirdly a hot squash dish was my fave. Had a perfect table and really good service, everyone v happy, hurrah. And some lush prezzies to boot. Well done and big thanks to Janine for some excellent hunting and booking.
Not quite on the birthday theme but still really nice was a meet up last night with a bunch of old Catz friends. Some who I see often, like the two Helens, occasionally such as Lucy R and some that it was lovely to catch up with, such as Keith, Christina and Chris Lees. Amazing how having spent 3 years together we know each other and can still take the mickey etc, even when some hadn't seen each other in 34 years. All doing very different things but such a treasured gang, and none of us look a day over 21 still…
