Well, we winkled out pretty much everyone we could for the Family Day yesterday – been in the diaries for about 8 months to make sure the northern ones could get down here and the Kent ones come across, but it finally happened.
Sorry to Mum and 97 year old Auntie Ellen, and Grace's fiancé Adam was also missing but it was a pretty full house apart from the absent friends.
Kicked off with a pub lunch at the Crooked Billet, followed by a walk on the Common before it poured, then back to our for tea and cakes, then a spot of lounging about before dinner. Joined by cousin Adrian and his daughter Scarlett, it was the first time we'd dragged the garden table in to attach to the dining table and get a round robin of 12 all seated chez Dora.
Scrumpy was being hugely spoiled by the queue of cuddlers, and I think a very good night was had by all! S x
