So, H was told by his consultant that he would definitely lose all the hair on his head, about ten days after his first chemo session. So he went and got a very short haircut – a number 1 – in preparation for the big fallout. And then waited…
Six sessions later, it still hadn't fallen out.
Some areas got a bit thinner, but it rallied back and returned. He's been keeping it short in case, and because I think he quite likes the 'part beard, part hair' look.
But very oddly – its totally changed colour!
He had dark grey hair, with lighter grey around the temples.
And now it's a very different shade of blonde-y white. Not what we were told at all!!
Here's a shot from April – definitely dark grey. And now one this week – blondey white. Ta da! How does that happen??
And very amusingly, it's also growing back in a mohican!!! You can't quite see from the side shot, but there's a definite ridge up the middle that was never there before. Rock hard or what.
But there you go, yet another bit of the magical chemo mystery tour. x
