Arty Weekend

Well, I'm supposed to be doing a whole bunch of other things this Monday morning, but seem to be prevaricating for Britain today. Hence time for a quick blog update..

Nice weekend, nipped to the 'Affordable' Art Fair on Friday with Mr H – it's now art under £6,000 (!), so the 'Affordable' bit is definitely debatable these days. Am sure it used to be under £1,500 when I first started going…

Anyway, always nice to wander round the many exhibitor booths, though dangerously H spotted a big picture he really loved by a New Zealand artist, so I can already smell a long detour on the South Island coming up 'just in case' when we are there in January..

And a very bonne weekend followed, down at the cottage. Not been there in AAAAGES, so loved our Fri eve fishy pie, Saturday's BRILLIANT England win in the rugby, and a celebratory lamb with all the magical cottage trimmings on Sat eve. Interspersed somehow with 3 visits to Waitrose to get elusive ingredients, and a spot of hunting for garden sculptures in Arundel, and then a bit of autumn gardening on Sunday to finally plant Dora the sheep (you'll have to pop round to see what I mean!) and to make Scrumpy a 'poo pen' (to avoid endless weeing on the lawn, which she is so far not loving at all) followed by a much needed bath – all in all, a very nice weekend.
