Just had Ray on the phone, sharing the latest thinking on Corona/COVID with his patients.
On the good side, there are no known cases of Myeloma patients in Spain/Italy, according to his many medical contacts there, dying of COVID as yet.
On the pretty spooky side, he is about to send me (and all his other patients) a letter which outlines this point very clearly. If I find myself having to present at a hospital or anywhere for treatment should I get COVID and having breathing difficulties, the letter explains this to whoever is doing triage and deciding who gets helped and who would otherwise just be, as he says, 'put in the corner'. Obvious inference on what happens to those poor folks…
Hmm, all feels a bit remote while we are fine, at home and well stocked with provisions and online chats. But if the time comes, that letter could well come in all too handy.
Here's hoping it never makes it out of my Inbox.
