No, no naked bathing photos her you'll be very relieved to hear… Instead a 2 night jaunt to Bath for me & Janine, in an attempt to make up for not being in Miami for the second June in a row…. Yes, that was a rather hard cancelled-again act to follow, but we gave it our best shot, despite being there in the inevitable summer chill & drizzle.
Only took 2 pix, although we did have a very good couple of days – starting off in the spa of the Gainsborough Hotel where we stayed – nice to be in an actual steam room and sauna as well as the hot pools and main pool. Double bonus that no-one else allowed in at the same time, so you can actually chat while you steam and broil..
Tapas dinner on night 1 – sitting next to one of those married couples who don't say a word all evening – urgh, at least we had plenty to catch up on! Mostly making plans for things now that stuff is finally opening up again. And a good laugh as we passed this little museum – the phrase 'I'm on it like a Jane Austen bonnet' has been a bizarre favourite among the Added Value girls for a few years, so we just had to take a photo of her, in it, as we passed!
Lots of shopping – natch – which wasn't quite up to Sawgrass Mills' standard but we still managed to nail a few purchases, before heading to see Cruella at the flicks late afternoon, to rest our cobbles-knackered feet – thank you Fiona Kensell for the recommendation. Actually very good – Emmas Thompson and Stone both tip top.
Just time then for a quick wander to the top of town to see the Royal Crescent before heading home – Scrumpy had her first trial stay over with Clarkie & Bob and apparently went down a storm, so we may now have a new occasional dog sitter. SO good.
Mr H is having a whale of a time in Cornwall with David B and Jules this week – endless man activities – he's going to be shattered when he gets back this Friday. Just think of all the lovely chores I've lined up for him since he's been away, tee hee.. x
