Reeve is Hawksey's only nephew – his brother Tim's son. He's been together with Kerry-Anne since they were teens, and they have 1 daughter, Izzy who is 12, and all live in Cinderford, Gloucestershire. Or 'the Forest' (of Dean) as they call it.
They had planned their wedding for April 2020.. and then for September 2020… and then again for April 2021… and this was the fourth time, hopefully to be lucky, date.
And hurrah – it finally went ahead, all running perfectly smoothly, with all guests as hoped for, this Saturday. And was preceded on the Fri eve by Kerry-Anne's birthday dinner at a really nice nearby pub – a fine start to their special weekend.
All being careful not to overdo it before the main event – the wedding!!! The sum of much planning from Kerry-Anne (and some from Reeve I'm sure!) – a perfect day.
For this, the sun was out, the venue did a lovely job and we got to meet all the people who matter in their lives.
Met KA's brother Lewis (third from left – Reeve is second from left, Tim on the right) for the first time – lovely chap, quite a bit younger so KA is like a Mum to him, as their Mum sadly died very young. He gave a fab little speech for his big sis and managed to rip the mick out of Tim (lots of Santa / reindeer jokes on the fri eve as Tim's beard is a tad white these days!)
And Kerry-Anne and Reeve looked fab and said they had had the day they had been dreaming about for years – so good too to add a new Mrs Hawkes to the clan.
Here Hawksey and Reeve sharing a beer towards the end of the evening. Yes, these two and Tim had just changed as a few mins previously Tim had been trying to hoik down his son's trousers on the dance floor (as you do) and promptly created a huge split up the bum of the wedding suit trousers – any excuse to get into their shorts hey?
Huge congrats to the new Mr & Mrs Hawkes – here's to many many happy years together x
