Managed to get all four of us together to see Maureen for my final visit before heading to Spain. Which was good given poor Ginny had an emergency op on an unknown hernia a couple of weeks ago, on the same day as she had already been to St George’s for a cataract op that morning. Now that’s not a good day in paradise…

Anyway – Muriel was there too and it was very nice to see Maureen up and dressed and in a chair. She has most often been asleep in bed for our recent visits, and unable to say anything or eat apart from sipping on a protein drink.

So, we are all hopeful that we will be back there in 4 weeks time when I ‘pop back’ (if only it was that quick!) to the UK for treatment, mid Spain trip.
Maureen even managed a nibble on a couple of small chunks of watermelon, a tiny touch of normality and Muriel was chuffed that sh’e chosen a good thing to bring. (The big box of grapes last week was a tad optimistic!)
