Having seen a couple of not-so-good (borderline total rubbish) things at the theatre of late, here’s one that stood out in a good way!
Fi very kindly got me a ticket to Into the Woods at the Bridge Theatre for my birthday last Oct and when the date rolled round the cast was stricken with some illness and the whole thing got cancelled. Fast forward a month and we finally rebooked and – alongside Janine who also wanted to see it – the three of us hooked up for a girls’ night out.
Kicking off with some tapas style nibbles at Rosa’s Thai near the river, and a cheeky beer as it was a warm old evening, we then hit the theatre for a spanking night on the town. Good music, good scenery, good singing/acting and obvs top company – win, win, win.
