Very nice weekend just gone, with Sophie & baby Martha, plus Mabel the dog (very interchangeable names!) coming to stay, plus Jules & Nicky for 2 nights.
Put the boys to good use on the Sat, baby- and dog-sitting, while we three went off to do my birthday treat – a little choc making workshop in East London.
In all honesty, a ludicrously tiny amount of chocolates made, but a good for hours for Soph to have some time away from Martha, so we could all chat, listen and catch up properly without having to save the baby from being 'over-loved' by Maddie.
Boys also knocked out dinner on both Fri & Sat – so handy that Jules is a restaurateur chap – so they had enough brownie points to just about get away with eating all the chocs after we had gone to bed! And we managed to introduce Soph's rescue dog Mabel to her first cat – Mojo was as usual less than impressed with Mabel's curiosity, but all furries survived intact.
Maddie however, was vastly over-excited by all the visitors and then crashed in her not so attractive seated position – she really does have to learn to not sit like a navvy… !
More dates in the diary once Soph has got over the hurdles of going back to work post maternity and settling Martha in at nursery – we will do it all again soon.. x
