Family & The Greats

H has been away sailing this week – trialling a boat delivery in case it's something he would like to do more of. He's definitely started at the bottom of the options, sailing a small 33 footer from Pembroke Dock in Wales round the foot of Cornwall to Plymouth. In chilly, choppy February. Where the autohelm broke after a few hours, so he and the other chap had to swap watch every 1.5 hours to hand steer the little bugger all the way. Still – if he liked that then the only way is up!

I've had a fairly quiet week – punctuated with yet more physio and endless exercises for my very annoying plantar fascitis. I am SO SICK of hobbling and limping – it's been a long 5 months now. Takes all the joy out of dog walking and I'm not able to play even walking hockey, let alone proper hockey as a result. Grrrr!

But at least off to the cinema this eve and am at the cottage with H this weekend – once he's had a very good shower, a full clothes change and a shave (I hope)…

In the meantime, I thought I'd share this pic of Richard and his family in Mexico, where they all went for a friend's wedding. Without poor Grace as she only had baby No.2 a few weeks ago, pants timing! All looking very scrubbed up, possibly with the slight exception of my dear brother – never one to mind re his wardrobe modernity!

And then to a very sweet photo of the 43 youngest 'Greats' all back at home – Grace's boys Bobby and Tommy on the left and Jess's girls Lettie/Violet and Polly on the right.
