Hi – blimey, been a whirlwind coupla weeks, hence this post being about the very lovely surf weekend we had in early Nov! Better later than never.
Well, didn't actually start that well, with me bashing my ribs to smithereens again playing hockey the morning of our departure – bloody typical, given that the last time we were surfing in Devon, my ribs were also buggered, and I was the loser on the beach, taking photos and guarding the towels as I froze slowly to the rocks.. So this time I was really looking forward to it – all turned to toast by the Indian Gymkhana centre forward, more's the pity.
Anyway – was a stunning sunny weekend, punctuated with semi-naked male cocktail making (steady yourselves before you check out that photo), a long afternoon of boozing in the hot-tub and – oh yes – a spot of watching the others swallowing dodgy sea water and getting snotted by big waves. Must do again soon – and next time I'm going to strap my bleddy ribcage together with gaffer tape and get out there so I CAN SURF TOO!!!!
