A massive PHEW can be heard across SW19 at this point in time.
Saw Prof on Tuesday, shifted appt so Hawksey could come, and thank god the paraprotein score is still STABLE. A bloody great word to hear and one that fits well with the festive period (beats Donkey, anyway).
Talking of which, just remembered the 'pin the tail on the (human) donkey' which we played as an energiser in the AV Directors end of year meeting this week – average age of people in the room was probably about 38, average value of the gales of laughter as a dozen blindfolded Dics pursued a braying Paul Cowper (my fellow jester) around a massive room, trying to stick a tail on his arse, priceless, as they say.
Anyway – back to Prof. Brilliant to get another 'stable' when it could so easily have been pants news, and even better I have persuaded him not to see me until after our Thailand holiday, which is a massive 10 weeks in between appointments. More than I've ever managed before, if I keep this up it'll be 6 months a pop at this rate (I wish…).
Makes for a better run up to Xmas and couldn't be better when we've got a fair bit on our plates at the moment, so here's to more big PHEWs in the news.
