So, to celebrate the end of an Added Value era and the start of a new one, Janine and I spent a very lovely day at Pennyhill Park Spa. Hardly anyone there so had the run of the various hot, warm, tepid and ice rooms and tubs to ourselves, plus pressed every possible button in the outdoor mega jacuzzi. My how cool I looked when I pushed down the neck massage one and a huge waterfall fell on my head from a large pipe I somehow hadn't spotted…..
And now just back from a v nice lunch with Sarah Hardy and her two dogs. H loving getting tips on canine management, how many dog baskets needed (one in almost every room apparently, oh god) and where to buy one of those brilliant long plastic things that wangs chewy balls for miles so you don't have to touch the dog slobber on it with your fingertips.
Have put our cheap but festive big Union Jack up and now tidying office, oh the thrill of clearing out new working space. H is sorting me out an I-phone (how can ordering a phone have so many choices/ And when did I get so old and thick that I can't understand half of them??) Also revelling in the arrival of 72 quid of vouchers from BAA to replace the booze that got confiscated on arrival in the Maldives. One letter pointing out their 'duty of care' = bingo. Get in!!
Have got our road jubilee party tomorrow, weather forecast still dire but sure we will give it the best of British in sailing jackets and fleeces. The great GB Summer in full flood. Anything for a burger hey.. And then off to the coot for magic roast lamby and probably an open fire for Sun & Mon if it gets any bleddy colder!
Anyway hope you're all having a Ball over the weekend, wherever you may be.
Still watching the Just Giving (Scottys Walkers) site every hour or two to continue to marvel at the brilliant donations coming in. Blimey people are great, just how cool is that.
