My first two Brand Mojo jobs

Blimey, the first 2 weeks of the new bizzo have come and gone in a bit of a crazy whirl.

Liz T – star! – came up trumps with an ideal first day, helping her to facilitate a monster group of 80 clients in sunny Milton Keynes. Ah yes, the wild glamour off part way up the M1. But it went very well plus gave me a very nice jacket potato with magic tuna (yes, one of my 'I'm a cheap date' foody favourites) for lunch, an unexpected added small bonus.

And then a day of facilitation for Unilever, running a workshop in Hatton Garden. Very entertaining flapping beforehand from me as the client was, quite normally, asking for my business banking & invoicing details so she could set me up as a Unilever vendor. What business bank account? Ah, that would be the one that I hadn't yet set up. And what headed notepaper with a sample invoice on it? Ah yes ditto – that'd be the logo that I also hadn't quite sorted out fully as yet, plus the invoicing wording that I was clueless about. I now know my company's registration number, learning new drivel every day.

All this while I was still trying to adjust my office chair to the right height, put my new notepads out, hit Amazon for some post-its and get my Glee calendar up on the wall. Priorities of a new job, right?!

Anyway – all went well and today I dragged Mum off her sofa and down to the corner of our road, so she could witness me putting my first paper invoice into the post to Unilever. Much to her great disgust as she didn't want to be dragged away from the tennis, definitely not for a much-hated walk and when we got there, thought I was posting my niece's 4th birthday card, but I did try!

Now I just have to work out how to online business bank (another 5 day wait for bleddy paperwork), and finalise my work title for the business cards. It's going to be just 'Director' I think, but my how many different views has that one conjured up, from 'Managing Director' – not that i have anything to manage above and beyond my paperclips when Mojo's been at them – to 'Founder', which Hawksey hates, to 'Lardarsecocktailswillingsaladdodger' which personally I thought had quite a ring to it…..

Proper email to everyone to follow as I will be shifting from my AV one to my new one, for all things social, which quite frankly are the only emails really worth reading. Unless you have a small project for me of course, in which case I am all ears and lightly dressed lettuce leaves.

Oh yes, and thought I'd share the very sweet package of 'goodies' that the client sent after the unilever workshop – you may be able to spot which brand it was… very nice!
