DOG CHAOS! We welcomed the lovely David & Mandy Brigham (Hawksey's chums who live up in Harrogate), down to stay with us, as David was picking up his flashy new Specialized bike (another Mr H 'snazzy-bike-for-a-bargain' deal).
And it wasn't just them – they came down with their furry family: The lovely liver coloured Libby and black & white Macey. Oooooh Scrumpy loved it! Two new beds to snuffle round, a couple of unfamiliar butts to sniff, extra food bowls to hopefully shovel round the floor, tempting tails to chew - what's not to like from a canine perspective??
Was actually less carnage than expected (mostly as their dogs have a few more years of training under their collars), and Scrumpy had them to play with instead of the sofa edging / laptop bag strap / Mojo in her tunnel / the stringy bit that hangs down so temptingly under the kitchen chairs…..
Very nice to see David & Mandy, ate ourselves senseless with one of Hawksey's masterpiece crispy ducks (no need for a main course after that baby… but somehow we managed to cram one in). All in all a dog-beast delight. (And Scrumpy is the black and white one on the left if you've not met her yet!)
