Had to add this one – my side Aces finally WON OUR FIRST GAME of the season yesterday.
OK, so it's already November. And therefore a touch overdue. And we've only got three measly points so far, from three hard-earned draws.
But we did manage to finally win yesterday, doubling our tally in one swoop, just in time for our Aces night out. The cue for:
- Vicks Hill staying far longer than she should have done, so she'd be nicely 'pre-oiled' before heading off to pull at an engagement party
– Having to send Caroline commiseration messages from the team as she fractured her finger in three places during the FIRST HALF of our game – and as we only had 11, (wo)manfully played on until the end (ouch!!!!)
– the consumption of an awful lot of deep fried pub food
– Jo falling asleep at the table, having hoofed her way through about 3 bottles of red wine (not fancying your hangover this morning much, Jo)
– conversations about how to talk to your imminently teenage son about w*nking (god we're getting old)
– and general entertaining chitchat bird nattering and quality drunkenness. What a lovely team we are! GO THE ACES!!!!!!
