Wimbers tennis, daaarling

What a cracking day we had on Thursday! Got our first set of Ballot tickets for Wimbers since Mr H moved here, and what a result they were – 4th row on Centre court, almost at touching distance to the players as we were right in the middle, bang at the net. Could pretty much have refilled their Robinsons from our seats… or topped them up with some of our excessive Pimms. When you only drink it once a year or so, I discovered you really can drink raaaaather a lot of the stuff..

First game was Del Potro vs Jesse Levine – 'who the hell is he?' was the first thought, but the little fella did give old 2 metre Del Potro a pretty impressive short-legged run for his money. And Potters definitely won the prize for 'best shirt-off moment of the day' – really quite a pleasant cougar moment, mmmm, good back musculature.

Then had a fairly crap women's game (unlike the Serena Williams one at the French Open a few weeks back, good for Serena for keeping up the female 'end' as it were), so we nipped off to the Champers Bar to see off some fizz and strawbs. And then onto the last game - oh good, just the world No.1 then, Djokovic vs Bobby Reynolds. Another 'who?' in terms of oppo who actually turned out to be rather good. 

Have to say, the amazing seats made taking photos rather easier than the usual – so here's a few from the day to prove that yes the sun did shine and yes, I was slipping down Henman Hill/Murray Mount into the couple below us when that shot was taken… And yes Camilla was there but no HRH big ears.

Oh and thanks for texting us when we kept popping up on TV – the one that said 'good to see Scotty's got a drink on but why's H got his sunglasses on his head when its so hot?' did make me think I should probably have worn something nicer – oh and probably been better at hiding the Pimms… hey ho, next year we'll eiother be back to no tickets or some up in the gods so I guess I'll keep the other half the bottle of Pimms till then.. x
