Hawksey was right – getting an underwater camera is one sure fire way of keeping me happily occupied for hours (also known as making me less annoying on holiday, when he's being less kind in translation).
So – here are a few of the pix. Nothing that'd win a National Geog prize but one shot in particular of a turtle that I liked as well as the chameleon octopus creeping along the rocks. And of course the miracle – having once ever seen squid – also in the BVI's 3 years ago – I jokingly said as we entered the water for one snorkel 'right, we've seen the rays, turtles, lots of fish – time for Mr Squiddie and his family to show their faces' – much to Hawksey's consternation as obviously he couldn't produce that one out of a hat – and 5 minutes later there they were. Ker-ching: snorkel nirvana.
Just call me 'The Fish Whisperer'…. x
