An Added Value Day

Slightly surreal day yesterday – my afternoon was spent at the AV Summer party with all the current AV-ers, generally feeling a bit ancient, Norma-No-Mates and sweatily hot in my ridiculous pink rhinestone cowboy hat due to the Wild West theme – thank god for Sarah Taylor and some of the 'long-lasteds' like Michelle, a few old chums to mingle with at least among the remaining familiar faces, youth policy and randoms. If only all the Alumni could have been there too, to really bring the heart of AV back to life..

And then I went back several decades into the Added Value mists of time, with supper round at Janine's –  with Mark Sherrington and Stewart & Helen Macintosh. Sitting in the garden, noshing pizzas and having a really nice evening, marvelling at how big, grown-up (and delightfully well-mannered) the Macintosh boys now are. Although the prospect of Hawksey and Mark meeting up again this weekend as I am away fills me with a slight sense of fear and wondering..

All that nattering (surely not the drinks?) must be why my mouth now feels like a veritable badger's back passage this morning, niiiiice S x
