So, first prize goes to Claire & Jon White for a very nice roast chicken dinner on Sunday. Ably accompanied by apple crumble, made by your own fair hand, with napples straight from the garden. Anyone would think you've moved out to live in the countryside. Oh, you did.
Second prize – Vicki Holgate. A posh Putney prawn risotto with asparagus spears - trimmed, no less. And some mixed berries with greek yoghurt with honey – ah, so that's what full fat dairy produce tastes like! Yum yum yum.
Third prize – Stewart & Helen Macintosh, who we are travelling all the way to Annecy in France to see tomorrow – oh and also to de-nude of several fresh baguettes, a brick or two of foie gras, a tarte d'abrigots and anything else that the 3 day forecast of heavy rain (joy) will just force us indoors to consume.
And Fourth prize – to Sara Fitzherbert, who to be fair, got her offer in before Vicki in 2nd place, but we are stalling until our kitchen gets taken out, to spread the comestible joy. That happened yesterday and we are now a microwave-only household. Oh, Fi-itz! Will nail you for a hot dinner date at Hatch's 40th birthday bash tonight.
And therefore a Happy 2 Weeks Early 40th Birthday to Hatch. You don't look a day over 45. And are going down in flames tonight, in case you haven't twigged the inevitable already.
Oh yes, and you owe us dinner. Get the takeaway curry menus out. x
