What better antidote to hot summer evenings than some rooftop drinks with the girls? The usual five of us headed out this week to Circe in Waterloo, for pre dinner drinks to celebrate Sarah’s impending birthday. Once again grateful that at least one of us has a summer birthday!
Great views across London – and some slightly dodgy ones of the bus station beneath us too. And Clare doing a great job of matching her dress to her bag and the furniture…
Then we were off to a risky choice as I had to book it and had never been there – a restaurant called Bala Baya, down past the New Vic theatre, which seemed to be the best option without too far a walk. Massive phew – it was great! And even better in that I had found it on The Fork and it had a 50% off food offer. So we filled our little boots and every single dish was a total winner. Hurrah!
And Sarah was v happy with her prezzie stash, so a result all round. Even better – it’s my birthday next… x x
