So – not only did poor Hawksey have to pull out of doing the Land's End to John O'Groats bike ride that he's been training so hard for all year, but he's now in real schtuk with his back and having to go see a specialist tonight.<\/p>\n

It seems like the pain he's in is just like how it was before he prolapsed a disc when he was reffing at the Dubai Rugby Sevens about 6-7 years ago – which resulted in 10 days in hospital in Dubai, being flown home with a nurse (some upsides), an operation and a lengthy recuperation. Oh dear…<\/p>\n

Also not massively handy that we are meant to be going on our much-looked-forward-to trip to Ethiopia and Dubai (maybe it's an 'any time he's near Dubai thing??') in just 15 days time – and that's looking less likely by the minute. Aaarrrggghh.<\/p>\n

Anyway – we will know more once he's seen the neurologist tonight (been referred to him as trapped nerve is causing lack of feeling in one leg) and he's had the pile of scans etc that will prob be required as a result.<\/p>\n

Poo pants piss poor.<\/p>\n

I'm off to Geneva tonight till tom eve, so if anyone's passing tomorrow, do drop in and make him a cuppa? One sad husband and an under-exercised dog will be at home.<\/p>\n
