Well, by granny I actually mean Mum, we just call her granny these days. If it was my actual granny it would be her 114th birthday and while the Dutch are a hardy bunch, that really would be quite impressive.<\/p>\n
So Mum is nearly 85, and what do you get an 85 year old who says she wants nothing for her birthday? A new flannel nightie from M&S of course, ah the thrill.<\/p>\n
Except it all goes a bit wrong when bozo-brain here manages to send the package to the wrong address and not realise for 3 weeks that it hasn't arrived. so she orders another one, then spots there was an original order which clearly hasn';t shown up. By which point, lucky Hannah & John Nurse have received said unexpected nightie out of the blue and packed it off with Mummy Hannah to Bristol to be returned to M&S. Nightie is now the most well-travelled ever as its finally just returned here – and Mum will never be the wiser.<\/p>\n
Anyway – we will be taking granny pops for a nice birthday knees up at Petesham Nurseries next Sunday after church, to celebrate her big day.<\/p>\n
And once that's done, a whole 4 days later and much more excitingly - it'll be my big day! Please – no nighties x<\/p>\n
