Am down at the coot in West Sussex. My favourite roast lamb awaits tonight, and it's steak a la Hawksey tomorrow. <\/p>\n
Finally the two dogs have stopped biting each others heads and devouring gnarly chunks of tasty garden wood. Both asleep, which is more than they were when we were trying to snatch a sneaky kip earlier. Now I know how parents of small kids feel when their adored but annoying offspring won't sleep when it's time to.<\/p>\n
Managed to finally pull Flossy away from the 30 small children in little black and white running kits who suddenly vomited themselves onto the Glebe when we were walking them, much to her furry delight. About time too as I was making a fool of myself trying to hit Scrumpy's beloved ball with an oversized twig as Daddy has her proper 'wanger' in his car, and isn't down till 5pm today. That old 'throw the ball in the air, take an almighty swipe, spin round 180 degrees as a result, while the ball drops untouched at your feet' – what a good look.<\/p>\n
Still, about to pick some garden raspberries to go in my cocktail jamjar later on.. a nice little countryside sojourn before the Dara infusion next Tuesday.<\/p>\n
