Ever spent 2 hours on the top deck of a London bus, scoffing all manner of sugary and savoury treats? No?<\/p>\n

Well Claire White & I did, this Thurs just gone.<\/p>\n

Was my birthday present from Claire – a 5pm tour around the London sights while (more importantly) seeing off a bottle of Prosecco (well, rude not to) as well as the tea, buns, cakes, finger sandwiches, croissant and the afternoon scone and jam\/cream (just what my stomach needed after 1000 calories of pure sugar).<\/p>\n

All beautifully laid out – and Claire had nabbed the top front seats – we were reminiscing about how you used to be able to look down the sort of periscope thing in the corner onto the driver's head… ok, that was back in the 1980's but hey..<\/p>\n

Not quite sure the bus seats were made for our two derrieres plus coats – my bum was so numb at the end I practically fell into the aisle (no, it wasn't the prosecco) – but it was a really nice thing to do. Even if the mere thought of anything sweet for 24 hours afterwards was enough to virtually make me retch..<\/p>\n

Spot the over-excited Asian foursome right behind us – my ears were practically seared off by the high pitched over-stimulated squeaking – I guess their usual diet isn't quite as sweet as MAN were they on a sugar high!<\/p>\n

All in all – v. good fun and no room at all for the post-tour burger I thought we might be needing… <\/p>\n
