And they managed to cock up the appointments 'oh yes, i remember speaking to you but it's not in the diary' – cheers – so I still have to go back later to see the dreaded hygienist. All part of ensuring oral health pre-transplant, myeuch. Hygienists are all sadists, however nice they try to be.<\/p>\n
This afternoon H & I are going to see Linda, Prof's assistant (and hopefully him, but I'm not 100% sure) to ask all the questions that are running round my head, before I go in next week. So many things I want to know more about, so I hope he's in receptive and communicative mood. Hoping there might be some good news, or at least not bad news, to help reassure me a bit. They seem to have things like 'we discussed you at Monday's MDT (?) meeting' – but I never get to hear what the outcome is, so will try and whittle a bit of of him today.<\/p>\n
And I have a new pain to entertain me. Some little sharp thing in my left leg outer thigh area. No idea what the hell it is, but it pips every step I take, so thanks for that added mini bonus. Hopefully it will resolve itself.<\/p>\n
Had a nice eve out last night with the Aces – my hockey girls. I'm acutely aware of different individual and groups of people wanting to see me before I go in next week – which is very lovely of course – but it adds a little to the pressure in a way.<\/p>\n
Hopefully of course all will be well, but I can't help thinking that any people I see and I are all wondering 'will we ever see each other again' when it's the last occasion before next week. Mind fuckerage, hey?<\/p>\n
Right – need to get on and distract myself – paying of credit card bills, sending back unwanted internet items, returning signed tax accounts, paying Mum's carers, flea-protecting Mojo etc. I don't think anyone can ever get their affairs entirely into order, but trying not to leave a mess, so hopefully it won't be too bad when I – fingers crossed – get home x<\/p>\n
