To everyone, over these last 2 years particularly when things have been tough and my health has deteriorated for a second time.<\/p>\n
For popping round and having tea
For texting and asking how things are going
For calling 'just for chat' and perking me up
For cooking and feeding us
For taking us in when our builders drove us out
For coming with me to the endless appointments
For sitting with me in the delightful 'chemo lounge'
For taking time off work to support a friend
For sending things in the post to make my day
For flowers, nibbles, books, candles, Sherbert DibDabs, bed socks and more
For helping with my shoes and socks when I can't get down there
For offering to do anything needed when I've been unable to
For dealing with my frustration and sadness
For empathy and piss-taking in roughly similar amounts
For taking my mind off all this when I've needed it most
For making me laugh over dinners, drinks or at myself
For 'getting' what a Scotty might need and turning up with it in hand For your patience and kindness when I've moaned on about how shit things are
For not just doing it once, but over and over as the many months have dragged on<\/p>\n
And for still reading this blog, 8 years and 4 months after necessity made me start it, when not one of us would have put a fiver on me still being here today.<\/p>\n
I may have a ruined body right now, but I am blessed with some bloody good, treasured people in my life. You! And here's hoping the SCT will change some of this, so we can all go back to a more normal way of life.<\/p>\n
In the meantime, big thanks to you all. You are what make this possible.<\/p>\n
