Mouth still no better. Getting to the end of my tether as have still got the third dose of the mending drug to go today, but not feeling confident it will suddenly clear it all up. Have now not eaten anything beyond milk since last Thursday's tiny supper and just can't see how this is going to change.<\/p>\n

Mouth disgusting, every swallow is thick and painful, and I'm weak from transplant and getting weaker as no food to build me back up. Tried brushing my teeth and the swilling out of toothpaste made me sick again. This is not what I thought week 1 back at home would be like.<\/p>\n

Hands have also exploded – thick chunks of skin bursting open and not helped by me picking at them to smooth the edges off. Sore and dry no matter how many times I put cream on. Weird how new thick bands of skin are forming under the nails. Tried logging on to First Direct to pay a bill and it wouldn't recognise my fingerprint any more…<\/p>\n

J came for morning visit and to help me do some admin and get a birthday card into the mail. Ross popped in to pick up Flossy, who is in season, and left a delightful red trail all over my single duvet cover that I use on the sofa. Two new ones from M&S swiftly ordered..<\/p>\n

Had to get up and let the doctor in to see mum, took all my energy. Ah the irony that her heart rate, blood pressure and general health are all so much better than mine. 48 plays 87, and for now 87 is winning hands down.<\/p>\n

Back to Parkside for the third bag of gunk. Desperately hoping this will nail the mouth. It feels maybe very slightly less sore and a bit less full of mucus but when I ask myself if I could try a yoghurt or something to eat, I just can't imagine doing so.<\/p>\n

Home 8.30pm so headed straight to bed. Still have to do the second flight of stairs on my hands and feet, one day I will make it up both flights upright. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
