Day 12 of waking up – at 3am, thirsty – with my mouth exactly the same. Lips glued together by combo of dead skin and mucus, delightful. Guess we won't be having a romantic dinner for 2 at home tomorrow night then.<\/p>\n
Am already a bit nervous about going to CCL tomorrow in case Prof tries to readmit me. Just need to try and drink more today, H bought a few different ones from M&S yesterday, so hopefully some new flavours will tickle my long lost taste buds.<\/p>\n
Managed to get downstairs in time for Lou R popping in at noon, quite a good effort for me. Magic help with sending back a couple of Amazon bits and making me an egg mayo open sandwich, my first bit of proper food since Saturday. Cheers Lou. Very peed off with myself that I couldn't manage to get the birthday card that I'd bought for her big day tomorrow, down from Mum's room, just too much right now. I hate missing birthdays, but the sentiment was most certainly there.<\/p>\n
Rest of afternoon moving very gingerly as my lower back is clearly not mending exactly speedily from the op on Dec 15th. Two months now and it's worse than it was right afterwards (ok, so I was on paracetamol then, which deffo obscured the pain). Wondering how long it will take to mend as any kind of leaning, turning, twisting, getting up etc is an air-hissing experience right now.<\/p>\n
Managed to polish off Janine & Ross's cottage pie for dinner. Yes, mushed flat so it's cold and with all carrots picked out as 'lumps' are a bit too sick-y still. Early bath, with H's help in and out of the tub, and bed.<\/p>\n
