Got a call from the staff nurse to see my creatinine level has only gone down to about 230, despite the 4 hours of fluids, which wasn't a great result.<\/p>\n
But we then got a text from Ray to say that if I take 800mg (two fat tabs) of Aciclovir by mouth, five times a day, and come for bloods tomorrow morning, then that's it for this weekend.<\/p>\n
Cue me cutting off my hospital band, removing the cotton wool and bit of tape from my blood test from left elbow and, slightly bigger job, pulling out the cannula from right arm. No more 'Parkside markings', straight off upstairs to a nice hot bath.<\/p>\n
Tried to sit at the table and share a first time in ages dinner with H, but the Thai soup he'd made was too much for my buggered taste buds. So it was yet another slice of bread for me, this time with tuna sludge on it. Tried a Cadbury pud after, but that wasn't quite 'right' either, so H polished it off. Looking for to getting my taste buds back..<\/p>\n
At least I am now in my own lovely bed, with my much loved Mojo burrowing into my neck..<\/p>\n
