The nice new feeling of quite liking to think about food was rudely dashed this morning by the evil appearance of some malevolent creatures at the breakfast table…… lamb kidneys. Urrrgggh. Should definitely not be part of the food chain, put me right off my one rasher of bacon.<\/p>\n
H toddled off on his bike again this morning, trying to get the new knee fit enough to go and join Jules & Nicky for a week's cycling in California this summer. Given that they have pedalled from the tip of South America to Peru now, just the 7,000km so far, and are well en route to cover Central America and Mexico before popping out into the US, he's going to need a few more bike workouts to even see their tyre dust….<\/p>\n
Another day spent pretty much horizontal, watching rugby and general crap tv. Talk about filling time, although always good to be at the coot, just wish I could nip to Waitrose, take the dogs for a walk, help make lunch or do anything more than read the papers and be a blob. Had a very awkward moment when the local 'bring eggs\/meat to your door' bloke, Barry, turned up with some eggs for J&R while they were out with the dogs. I had to 'rush' to the door, all of 3 yards away from the sofa, and forgot to cover my head in my hurry.<\/p>\n
Cue a look of total shock on his face as he clocked the boiled egg head, and started mumbling something about 'oh are you having chemo, um hope you're ok' – before legging it off with his couple of quid. Did not know which of us was more mortified.<\/p>\n
Still another 3 days till the back biopsy and hopefully some clarity and direction will finally come to break this bloody stalemate.<\/p>\n
