I legged it to get the car and H carried her in, and within 20 mins we had an appointment at our excellent vets. Luckily no bone damage, as to begin with we thought she might have broken her hip or something hideous. In the end 'only' a deep cut which necessitated a sedative and several internal stitches which are then finished off on top. Plus some bruising to her other leg, and she's quite stiff in both at the moment. All pretty tidy and seems to be mending very nicely though – her three day check up is this afternoon.<\/p>\n
Bummer as ever is that the hood of shame is back on – hopefully only for another week – and she's on short lead walks till then. Not sure who is more depressed – though I think it's Mads – she's very droopy of head and I'm sure she knows that one small misjudgement (on her part and mine!) has lead to 10 days of phhhluurrgh.<\/p>\n
Poor little sausage – big bad Bob Dog, plus Fi & Rich, are all coming to stay today so at least she'll have something slightly more interesting than us to keep her on her toes till she's free to scamper again.<\/p>\n
