And so the latest virus news this week heralded the demise of our final two possible weeks away this year.<\/p>\n
We are now officially '7 for 7' – we had 7 trips overseas booked, to make this year a whole lot better than H's big treatment year last year, and we have now struck out on each and every single one of them. POOOOOOO!!!!<\/p>\n
So its been bye bye to:<\/p>\n
Seville in April, and a trip to meet the jamon pigs<\/p>\n
Peru in May, and finally – finally – getting to see Machu Picchu<\/p>\n
Vegas and the canyons in early June, the annual girls' trip to the US<\/p>\n
Holland in June, a chance to practice my Dutch on an Aces hockey tour<\/p>\n
Moldova in August, getting a new country on the magic list<\/p>\n
And now the final chess pieces have fallen, so it's also so long, farewell and adieu to:<\/p>\n
Ile d'Oloron's markets, beaches & seafood<\/p>\n
and last but not least<\/p>\n
Southern Portugal – a great looking house with a pool, that we can now only dream of…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our change of plans for September now means that we are swapping the delights of a pretty French island for… drum roll…<\/p>\n
A week in Tenby! God help me… please, please let it just be good weather at least.<\/p>\n
And Portugal ….. for a week in Croyde in Devon. Again, if the weather's nice we'll have a great week, and if not, vastly excessive pasties and cream teas will be devoured to make up for it.<\/p>\n
Hey ho, who needs a foreign holiday anyway?…<\/p>\n
