Well, the few photos coming here are just a fraction of the endless groundhog walks that the last few months have heralded. Day in, day out, walking trousers & boots on, dog harness and lead, poo bags a plenty.. off to the Common or Richmond Park, with the occasional bit of the Hurlingham or elsewhere thrown in.<\/p>\n

Make flask of tea, choose hat and gloves, meet chum in a car park, hose dog & self down afterwards. Walk, eat, sleep, repeat….<\/p>\n

Not that I'm complaining too much – god knows how much worse life would feel if we weren't able to meet friends for a walk. 95% of the time just me and one other, but we did go a bit mad last week and met both Mark & Charlie for a walk with their dog Lottie. Spent strictly walking as one pair, then swapping over, so a minimal breach and a much needed one. <\/p>\n

And our long lost chums Mark & Charlie – who bless them turned up with a load of smellies they'd 'acquired' at some fancy hotel last year. Knowing they were some of my faves, so a very nice gift – oh the smell of a posh hotel on your skin, couldn't we all do with a bit more of that soon, hey? Hawksey looks slightly like he's been shrunk in this one, he is doing well losing weight at the moment but not quite as much as the shot suggests.. shrinkydink!<\/p>\n

But to all of you who've trogged through mud and sludge, sipping teas and swapping the minimal bits of news we all have at the moment – thank you for coming out and making the days go better, faster and with more little highs than they would otherwise have.<\/p>\n

Here's to the next stage of 2021 – when the pubs reopen and we can even add a tuna sandwich and a lime & soda to the crazy heady social walking whirl x <\/p>\n
