So this second week or more freedoms post 12th April, has been the week of threesomes. No, not that kind of threesome, just for some reason this week heralded a bunch of social events that involved two other mates each time.<\/p>\n

Starting off with another litter pick with Clarkie & Georgina – ending up with George's birthday cake being eaten on the same logs we had Clarkie's on a few weeks ago. Clarkie missed out on the photo as the birthday girl took centre stage – all the focus being on trying to keep her candles lit long enough for Georgie to blow them out (fail!)<\/p>\n

From there, I've then made the most of Hawksey being away on a 5 day bike ride this week (the King Alfred's Way in Hampshire\/Wiltshire). Had a v nice lunch out with Curly & K at the Black Swan in Ockham, and just managed not to be drenched by the rain collecting in the billowing 'sails' covering our table – sadly the man at the next table was less lucky. Equivalent of a full bucket dumped on his head and down his back, mid-meal, we felt quite lucky despite the cold & wet! Good to catch up with the girls – its been aaaaages.<\/p>\n

Final pub trip was a night out to the Rose & Crown with Sophie & Nicky – even braved asking someone to touch my phone and take a photo of us – we wouldn't have done that a few months or even weeks ago, when the covid numbers were worse. All little steps in the right direction, and so, so welcome.<\/p>\n

Two pints of Peroni top (oops, and the vodka diet coke in the photo) and I think my weekly calorie count has officially doubled this week. Good job H is back shortly and there are a few tentative salads on next week's menu despite the continuing chill..<\/p>\n
