This week heralded yet another fairly mega milestone – 6 years since my second stem cell cell transplant, back in Jan 2016.<\/p>\n
Blimey – that's pretty much flown by, especially given how shite the last 2 years have been, what a massive waste of healthy time.<\/p>\n
But bloody good to have made it to 6 whole years – this time after my first SCT I was still ok but became ill again with that year. So here's majorly hoping that the Daratumumab and Velcade combo continue to somehow keep me out of trouble for a while longer.<\/p>\n
My stomach continues to look like a war zone – it gets 4 hefty chemo injections every 4 weeks, then 4 more, then 4 more as the time goes by. So is bruised to buggery, but it's all worth it to still be here, still be ok and still be hopefully a long way away from another hideous transplant.<\/p>\n
Just need to pack my big bikini for next week's trip to Gran Canaria, then I can tuck all the grimness into my big pants and no-one will be any the wiser. Just the face and rest of body to worry about now!<\/p>\n
