Well – those are definitely words that I never thought would pass my lips! In all honesty I've never massively fancied the Canaries though for no particular reason – and now that there is a sniff of winter sun in the offing, it feels rather nice!!<\/p>\n

We have totally and utterly robbed the holiday plan from Sarah & Paul Taylor – when I texted Sarah asking for a bit of advice, knowing they had been to the Canaries many times, I was hoping for 'Tenerife is better than Lanzarote', 'stay in the north, not the south' type of thing.<\/p>\n

But the wonderful Sarah being Sarah, we received an entire trip plan ranging from the island (Gran C), the town (Meloneras) and the hotel, right down to the package to book and the benefits you get! <\/p>\n

It's a bit more 'resort' than we are used to, so will be a very nice change I'm sure. And it has to be the easiest trip of the year – just hope that it is as simple as it seems (only need to test on our return, and do a couple of forms, none of the rest of the faff).<\/p>\n

5 more sleeps and we are – hopefully – off. Slightly nervous that even putting this in writing runs the risk of jinxing it, but as ever – here's hoping!!<\/p>\n
