Really impressed with how they handled Liz&#8217;s food intolerances, it makes such a nice change when a place is helpful and actually has gluten free options alongside a willingness to adjust other dishes as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/scottysblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/295AE99D-17D9-4D2B-90FF-4617D0316D69_1_105_c.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1772\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scottysblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/295AE99D-17D9-4D2B-90FF-4617D0316D69_1_105_c.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/scottysblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/295AE99D-17D9-4D2B-90FF-4617D0316D69_1_105_c-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/scottysblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/295AE99D-17D9-4D2B-90FF-4617D0316D69_1_105_c-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They even brought Liz a sorbet that she could have alongside my birthday slice of Basque cheesecake &#8211; which for once I couldn&#8217;t finish as I was stuffed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the very last one was this Thursday, when &#8216;Anita from next door&#8217; and I headed into Barnes to a road that I have never &#8211; somehow &#8211; been on. Which had not just a very sweet little Thai restaurant, but also the real lovely Olympic Cinema. That it turns out was a recording studio for about 40-50 years and has seen every top name from the Beatles and Bowie to Queen and Adele. And given that we are &#8211; blimey! &#8211; off to Mexico for 2 weeks tomorrow, I think it&#8217;s time for a switch in emphasis. Just hope my very snotty &amp; cough-y cold sods off sooner rather than later &#8211; are tequila, mezcal, avocados, chillis and tortillas good medicines?
