Just back from 4 lovely days together with 'the Helens' – Helens Tebay and Vickery – in sunny, sunny Valencia.<\/p>\n

So good to be thirty five years down the line since we all met at Catz, and to not just still be in touch but actually wanting to get away together to spend some proper time catching up. What a huge treat.<\/p>\n

So we ticked all the usual Valencia boxes – the market, the beach, wandering the Old Town, browsing the shops, trying the Agua de Valencia (alcoholic), discovering Raddler (2% weak shandy, delicious when very chilled and we were very hot!). Eating paella, sharing tapas, cycling down the river bed, cooling off in the Ciencias & Artes zone..<\/p>\n

Climbing the old towers, admiring the buildings, wandering through the cool air of the Botanic Gardens and checking out the street art.<\/p>\n

And chatting, chatting, chatting. Over many a sangria (very important that the girls tested out pretty much all the ones to be found). And even some decent caipirinhas for me – result!<\/p>\n

Fab trip away – here's to planning one next year because we somehow didn't manage to have a single ice cream while away so obviously now have to do it all again! x<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
