All the chi chi noncy bits you could desire from swanky cocktails, amuse-bouches and truffles a go-go to&#0160;just the right amount of&#0160;designer chef ponciness (&#39;foams&#39; as food &#8211; its like scraping the polluted fluffy bit off a stagnant river..) Oh, and some surprise flowers from my lovely man half way through dinner &#8211; he managed to get even this old goat a bit teary over her main course&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I did&#0160;rather like the leaf effect glass wall behind us &#8211; &#0160;top tip for anyone thinking of a home update soon.. see the pix.<\/p>\n<p>So &#8211; in an ideal world perhaps I wouldn;t look like the moon-faced wonderblimp in the photos, but the important bit was having this fab foursome together, on the lash, sinking far too many bottles of wine and making my entry into the next decade a damn fine way to do it in style.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And caving was followed by a very nice dinner out in Bath&#0160;with our lovely chums Janine &amp; Ross.
