Nipped up on the sugar puff (train, 'suuuu-gar puff, suuuu-gar puff) to have a very nice 3 night stay with David & Mandy this weekend.<\/p>\n

Met up with the lovely Brenda & Jon for a pub supper in Thursday and am still enjoying David' frantic hunting for his phone at the end of the meal, when it was safely hidden in my pocket..<\/p>\n

Wandered off to a big old shop to look for a dining table for them and a possible pair of side tables for us – two close contenders but no cigar on this occasion. All good prep for our super trendy night out that eve – listening to The Real Thing performing at Harrogate Theatre.<\/p>\n

THANK GOD way way better than the billing of 'they are promoting their first new album in 44 years' had made us think – and it's amazing how long you can spin out three hit songs for! You To Me Are Everything, Can't Get By Without You and Can You Feel the Force played several times each. much to the delight of the mega groupies in the front row and our amusement. The two remaining chaps got everyone on their feet – not bad for a half full theatre, bless them.<\/p>\n

Had a walk round a local reservoir on Saturday and then lunch with D&Ms girls, sons in law, the 6 grandsons, several games consoles and some monster trucks.<\/p>\n

Then back for steak night and cards, perfect.. Always fab to have a few days in the Gate, catching up properly and plotting the next meet.<\/p>\n
