Not sure which one of these is worse, but here they are in chronological order:<\/p>\n
1. Conker has gone missing. Last seen, as normal, scoffing her 'night night nuggies' at 10pm last Wednesday evening, before hurtling off out the cat flap in hot pursuit of nocturnal entertainment, while Mojo ambles sleepily up the stairs to get onto our bed. Since then – not a sausage. No raucous miaowing, no massacred pigeons in the garden, no bedsocks dragged downstairs and molested, not a sniff of her.<\/p>\n
We've been round the roads on our bikes, rattling her food box and looking all over, but nothing yet. And its now 6 days.. Have just made full use of the AV laminating facilities and will be sticking 15 posters up tonight, hoping someone will call. Bloody bollocks, both of us missing her and no idea where she's gone – even Mojo has been sitting on next door's shed roof, looking back and forth…<\/p>\n
And POO number two..<\/p>\n
2. I've buggered my blody ribs again. Playing hockey on Saturday, overly mindful of H on the sideline, shouting to 'commit' to every tackle – came up against one of the Indian Gymkhana players heading for a 50\/50 ball - and suddenly there's a huge pain in my ribs and I'm on the deck. Cue going off for the rest of the game, then heading for a 'surf weekend' in Devon (now known as 'watching everyone else surf, like a loser') and a fun x-ray at Parkside on our return yesterday. No results yet, but suspect they will have the really unsatisfying response of 'nothing to see' and I'll still be in pain for the next 6-12 months, if the last time is anything to go by.<\/p>\n
Really grumpy as just got into the swing of the new gym, the personal trainer, enjoying hockey and getting myself back into some kind of shape – and now the only new shape is probably going to be fucking steroid blimp, if that's the only way to cure this. Arse piss.<\/p>\n
Oh – and between the two – I'm sure I'll mend eventually – so I just want my little furry Conker back.<\/p>\n
