The Puritans Hockey pre-Xmas drinks have yet again lived up to their billing.<\/p>\n
Needless to say, the choice of the Waterloo pub offering the splendid deal of 'Wankered Wednesdays' was too good a lure to resist and boy oh boy – did we all fall for it, hook, line, dodgy McDonalds on the way home, and sinker.<\/p>\n
I blame it squarely on the Weetabix client for shortening our meeting (some weedy mumblings about getting home in the snow), hence me getting back into London at 5pm rather than 8pm as expected. But not sensibly curtailing the drinking in line with the extra time – oh no, what a fine idea it seemed to keep hurling Peroni down my neck all night long.<\/p>\n
Apologies to the poor woman on the train that Hawkesy and Pam accosted. Just moved to Wimbledon Park from Edinburgh 5 weeks ago, and surely today, packing her boxes to run back north again.<\/p>\n
