So then, the winter misery is almost over (she says hopefully) and the advent of lovely travel and fun is almost upon us. <\/p>\n
Can hardly believe I've not seen the sun since Mauritius in October – very unlike me (and yes I do know how pampered princess that sounds!) But winter is a bit of a shit long haul, so hurrah for lighter mornings, longer days and the sniff of Mr Sun popping his golden rays out every now and then to remind us that spring is finally coming. Always good when the daffs hit the shops and everyone seems just marginally less grumpy than in the dark old December\/Jan\/Feb months. Except the old git in Kernows (Added Value's local sandwich shop, surely a front for money laundering as the food is so crap) that is.<\/p>\n
So the annual travel plans are coming together – all being well as ever…So far looking like..:<\/p>\n
– A weekend to France in late March for H's birthday (guess who will be driving to and from the never-ending vineyards, sigh)<\/p>\n
– My Hen weekend – somewhere in the UK but clearly I am not being told anything about it, so god only knows what the evil plan is for revenge there<\/p>\n
– Long weekend in New York on the Royal Wedding weekend for a spot of honeymoon clothes shopping and caterwauling the night away in the inevitable piano bars<\/p>\n
– Quick trip to the glam Isle of Shite for the Aces hockey tour weekend – where I shall be drinking only and not playing (week before the wedding!)<\/p>\n
– Honeymoon to British Virgin Islands & St Lucia, woo hoooooo, scooby doo<\/p>\n
- A July week in Miami and St Barths to get over the exhaustion of the honeymoon (no, not that kind of exhaustion, you grubby-minded weevils)<\/p>\n
– Weekend to Bratislava with the hockey girls in Aug to add Slovakia to my countries (and beer) tally<\/p>\n
– And a possible week in Syria, although given the Libya shenanigans at the moment, the time might not quite be right to be donning my dish-dasha and gearing up for a houmous overload… <\/p>\n
– With hopefully a week away with Mr H back end of year, but that's too far off to be counting any chickens quite yet. But here's hoping.<\/p>\n
Anyway – back to reality until the merry-go-round of fab weekends\/weeks away begins!<\/p>\n
