{"id":1238,"date":"2012-01-26T18:40:53","date_gmt":"2012-01-26T18:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scottysblog.com\/well-mikey-and-anyone-else-wondering\/"},"modified":"2012-01-26T18:40:53","modified_gmt":"2012-01-26T18:40:53","slug":"well-mikey-and-anyone-else-wondering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scottysblog.com\/home\/well-mikey-and-anyone-else-wondering\/","title":{"rendered":"Well, Mikey (and anyone else wondering)&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>YES the plane did &#8211; finally &#8211; go on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Not till bloody 6pm mind you &#8211; a whole joyous 9 hours of my week wasted within the lifesucking greyness of Heathrow.<\/p>\n<p>But at least I got there and was in my bijou hotel bed by 10pm &#8211; yes, 3am UK time (and I have to say, the training thing then went off rather well, so had fully earned my day of shopping which followed!)<\/p>\n<p>Just faffing about now getting everything sorted for the Big Thai Trip which kicks off<br \/>\nthis Sunday. Am there with work till next Thursday, which means that in 7 short days from now (OK, propbably incredibly long and boozy ones, for anyone reading that&#8217;s been to an AV Annual Conference-thingy) I AM ON HOLIDAY!!!!<\/p>\n<p>Mr H is shipping on Thurs evening with Nursey &amp; Hannah, starting our trip with One Night in Bangkok (didn&#8217;t some dodgy 80s band do a song about that?) and then off to Phuket the next morning to collect our catamaran. From thence onwards into the azure seas off the west coast for a week, in search of sun, sea, sand, splendid quanitities of thai chill basil &amp; rice and &#8211; most hopefully &#8211; to see a DUGONG.<\/p>\n<p>If we nail that, I will be supremely delighted.<\/p>\n<p>And then on to Burma \/ Myanmar for 6 nights. Which should be as Asia used to be, with any luck. So watch this space, will hopefully blog from some dodgy Internet cafe at some point, or from the sartorial confines of a high class cocktail bar in downtown Rangoon (now I am hallucinating).<\/p>\n<p>Will be in touch!
