Having been home from Arge all of 6 days, so it was obviously well overdue for me to set off for the airport again. Somewhat jumping the gun, SouthWest Scuzzycars turned up not just slightly early, but an entire day ahead of schedule, much to my non-delight at 7.15am on Monday morning. <\/p>\n
So off we actually set, yesterday, and here I am now at my sister's 'pooter, whacking out a quick update while she dresses small niece number 1, who's off kinderschool with a cold. And evident over-excitement at having Aunty Scotty and Granny coming to stay… ish.<\/p>\n
Small niece number 2 is biting granny downstairs (it's a theme, both Scrumpy and Daisy very keen on this, Mum less so) – while covered in chickenpox spots. Both Cathy and \u00c9mmanuel have bad colds – I can''t get out of here fast enough! Do I look like I want the pox in my Xmas stocking?? Perhaps the overdose of Dutch cheese I had at breakfast will ward it off, as the early awakening at 4am from both nieces bawling their combined blonde heads off probably didn''t help boost the immune system that much. Cheers girls – all your presents are going back in the English Grinch's suitcase… maybe.<\/p>\n
Lily is now delighting in singing 'Spotty Scotty, Spotty Scotty Scott' over and over – Rachel, its not just your girls who think this is hilarious. Not as funny as me though, as I strike them off the still-not-done-funny-how-you-leave-some-jobs-till-last Will in the new year. Ho Ho, Scroogey Ho, you mini me's.<\/p>\n
I'm back tonight, minus Mum, whom I will probably think I've left in the giant loos at Schiphol, as I head homewards. One final bit of work tomorrow – can just about squeeze out a half day workshop – and then Christmas is officially here – starting with a soiree of Xmas songs at the Sloany Pony in Parsons Green. Wonder if you truly can bray \u00f3ut a carol? We'll find out soon enough..<\/p>\n
