Two days there on my lonesome before the intrepid (for that read 'lots of endless stories about how we conquered Everest') mountain goat explorers arrive and we spend a bit more time in the 'Du before flying on to Bhutan. I suspect making good use of a local laundry before we depart as I'm anticipating that after a 17 day climb they are going to honk like rancid geese.<\/p>\n
Fingers crossed it all goes well – still very unconvinced I've packed well (how are you meant to cover off a possible 25 degrees which necessitates flipflops as well as potential minus 4 that needs walking boots and thermals?) It's a mystery to me.<\/p>\n
Anyway – 90 minutes now to taxi arriving, so no time left to back out – the Scottster is up up and away, back on Fri 22 Feb (yes, in time for hockey on the Saturday, anything to try and help us scrape the necessary points to stay in our League!)<\/p>\n
May be in touch during the trip if my I-pad will let me post, but don't hold your breath in case it is its usually badly behaved self.<\/p>\n
